09/00– Present  City University of New York  Ph.D.  candidate in Electrical Engineering

09/1996 – 07/00  HeFei Polytech. University B.S. in Computer Science

 Computer Skills

·         Technical Skills: Routing and Wavelength assignment, provisioning in IP/WDM, Performance Analysis for Optical Networks, Numeric modeling for Optical System, MPLS, ATM, SONET, TCP

·         Database: Oracle, PL/SQL, FoxPro (Visual FoxPro)

·         Languages: C, C++, HTML, Javascript, SQL, Visual Basic, Pascal, Assembly Language, Prolog

·         Systems:  Unix (Solaris), Windows, DOS

Experience

·         Optical Network Project (9/00-Present )

·         Studied networking protocols, and investigated optical technologies in WDM network architecture

·         Working on the development of traffic engineering capabilities on reliable "IP over WDM networks". The research is aiming to implement the Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) forwarding paradigm on WDM- based networks and includes the development of an extended path selection algorithm that meets constraints including bandwidth availability and network policies.

·         Modeling and analysis of Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFA), Lightwave transmission systems.

·         Database project: Used Visual Basic and Access to build a stock exchange information system, in 2000

·         Operating System: Several programming projects, including semaphore, scheduling and simulated OS

·         QoS in 3G wireless network: Surveyed the current technologies in 3 G wireless network

·         Manage system of private library: Used PowerBuilder to build and manage the database of books.

·         Teaching Assistant  in EE department (9/01-Present)

·         Lab Assistant  in PC Lab and Unix  Lab  (9/00-Present)
