  • Here is a list of  the problems that were solved in class from Chapter 14:
              Example 14.7, 14.8, Prac. Prob. 14.9, and another problem from the work book (Prob. 14.7).
  • Final Exams schedule:

  • Chapter 9 is NOT in Exam II.
  • Please replace Problem 5.73 in HW 9, with Problem 5.47.
  • Exam II is scheduled for Tuesday 10/11. It covers everything from after exam I.
  • This semester we'll cover Chapter 9 and 10 and part of Chapter 14 (instead of Chapter 7 and 8).
  • HW due on 10/16 is HW6; for Section M2
                               HW5,6; for Section S
  • Exam I is scheduled for Thursday 10/02.
  • All the information in this website can be used in fall 2003, except for the following changes:
    - We will be using the new edition of the text book (second edition) this semester,
    - New HW assignments are given in the following table.
    - Other changes will be posted in the "Announcements".

    Quizzes and homework: 

  •   Homework will be assigned every Thursday.
  •   Late homework will not be accepted.
  •   There will be unannounced 5 to 10 minutes quizzes similar to homework problems,
      you should always be prepared for quiz. 
  •   No make-ups will be given for missed quizzes or exams.
  •   Homework problems 17-19 means 17, 18, 19.
  •   All dates which have not yet occurred, should be considered tentative.
